Ten Cents A Dance written by Chrisitne Fletcher.
It is by far one of the best books I have read.
It was based in the 50-60's ( i think ). If you have a minute, sit down and read this book.

If you're interested in books about the story being back in the past with all tribal stuff/before the Stone Age - I highly recommend the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series by Michelle Paver
There are 6 books in this series and they are really good!

Harry Potter books by J. K. Rowling.
Books written by any of the Brontė sisters such as Wuthering Heights.
Books written by a comedian such as Mark Watson.

Love all these books, personally I feel that they're good reads.

    Sophie's World - Jostein Gaarder .

It definitely makes you think about the world. (It's got A LOT of philosophy incorporated into it).

I read "No! I Don't Want to Join a Book Club" by Virgina Ironside. I can really recommend this book. I think it's really funny and written nicely. Maybe it's a little bit focused too much on the age (after 2-3 sentences about the fact that she has no problem with getting old, the readers got the message, but she says it again and again), but besides that it's a nice read.
