    Mootools has a very expansive plugin base, which has some great enhancements.. no need to put mootools down.. it does the same thing as Scriptaculous.

    I'd rather just go ahead and use jQuery's plugins.
    @Charlie: Look kidda' you need to tone it down, you take all this crap from google and claim you typed it when you didn't so shutup, muppet.

    Why? jQuery requires too much typing for simple things.

    Those same things can be done with Prototype, and all it's sub-enhancements, with half the code.

    Mootools default for people who can't edit (like me) are just not going to be used. If you take something like jQuery plugins or custom features they are what people will use half the time like the content slider I saw on some page.

    Yeah, but you don't need to edit things, that are pre-packaged.. and if Scriptaculous includes all the things you need without modification.. there's no need to go get jQuery and fill it with a hundred plugins.

    Simply said scriptaculous is much better than mootools thats all. jQuery is amazing for site features.

    have to say that Scriptaculous surpasses most framesworks in my personal opinion, but I am only just starting to learn javascript/js frameworks in general. I mean I have already made a cool little live JS system which denta knows about... and its only a few lines with Scriptaculous, compared to double with jquery.

    www.fragme.co = a project.
