I don't understand then, she was in the welcome lounge literally the day before this saying she was an events/community staff member.

It came to light that it was actually never a community staff account, just an account that was given the staff badge for whatever reason (probably a mod that quit or something) and then was discarded. The hacker found the account and used it to impersonate a staff member.
