If people feeling uncomfortable and threatened is the problem with unisex toilets or whatever should gay men be forced to use women's toilets and lesbians to use the gent's?

And my question was actually based on the topic of this thread - what actually is your stance on people being able to choose bathrooms? Especially people like the trans man I posted above? Cos it seems like you're completely anti- it but if you had a woman come in to the men's bathroom with boobs and a woman's body and makeup you'd prob feel preeeeetty uncomfortable as well right
I am completely uncomfortable with allowing the opposite gender into my restroom. It would be abused aka child molesters as well. It takes one person to mess things up for everyone. Sure, all is fine and well until it happens. But let's prevent that to the best of our abilities.
Be honest. If you had a fully grown man come into your bathroom after these laws were passed and he showed no signs of being transgender, just coming into the bathroom to abuse it - how would that make you feel?

I am not asking that to emotionally control you, as I can say quite well it would freak me the hell out. Just trying to relate.

If that's the issue then the above question applies massively and the safest thing for everyone would be what I suggested right on page one

So you are comfortable with these people using the same bathroom as you:

    ?????

They were all born men so by your logic, you'd be comfortable them using your bathroom. Despite the fact they are NOT men and don't even LOOK anything like men.

Let's be real here though, there is actually nothing stopping people going into different bathrooms at the moment. Hell knows I've been to the men's room many times cos the queue for womens' was too long. If someone really wanted to go and prey they could PRETTY easily without this law.

If I had a fully grown man such as this:

in the women's bathroom damn right i'd feel uncomfortable because THAT IS CLEARLY A MAN. But oh wait it's not, it's a TRANS MAN so they'd legally have to use the women's bathroom.

Can't say I'm overly supportive of this "trans movement". I understand and accept it's a mental issue and all that, but I don't agree with the way it's treated i.e. mutilating a body. As far as I recall, treating it by sex changes does nothing significant when it comes to suicide rates.

Ultimately, I'm not against unisex toilets but I think allowing this just breaks down the purpose of separating toilets (which I'm sure there is just cause for somewhere). But I do have to say, as far as I'm concerned this is basically a non issue. In an ideal world, I would just prefer small toilet rooms rather than crappily constructed cubicles since they are far superior.

I always laugh when people post pictures of trans who have tonnes of makeup on or who just happen to have very unusual manly/feminine body shapes. It's a false picture. Most people can spot a tranny a mile off usually by the way a bloke walks in heels, his size 10 feet and the gigantic hands. Like Miss Mann on Scary Movie 2, it ain't foolin anyone!

And the push for everything to be 'accepted' is false too. I wouldn't go out with a transexual, nor would many. This is not to say I would be mean to somebody purely for being trans, but I absolutely refuse to go along with this as being 'equal' or normal.

Many people felt uncomfortable with gay men in toilets because of the behaviour of gay men in toilets. Indeed, many still feel disgusted and uncomfortable walking through parks or past bushes in the darker hours when many gay men seem to think it is acceptable to come out and have sex with strangers in the dark. And we wonder why HIV rates among that demographic are so high.

This topic is clearly so transphobic..

And anyway, even if they did have their own toilets you wouldn't be able to differentiate between trans, man or woman so yeah.. there's no reliability that they are what they claim to be.

Not at all! I have no fear of transgenderism or anything of the like, rather, a disapproval of it in my own eyes. Take for instance gays, I am friends with plenty on this fansite. Just because I don't think it's right to me personally doesn't mean I can't accept someone else's feelings.

Hate when people call it "transphobia" when it means "to be afraid" of transsexualism.

Not on the same side of the culture wars as feminist Germaine Greer but boy is she right. In recent years the left has shunned her as it eats itself alive with inconstitencies because she hasn't accepted the latest lunacy on gender and sexuality.

Interesting exchange for anyone interested in this topic & links with feminism -
