multiplay.co.uk offers really cheap minecraft hosting based on player slots, but it doesn't say anything about the server stats :S
Plus we only really need 12 slots at max since we very rarely have that many people online at one time.

I'm searching around for minecraft gaming servers as it seems cheaper than buying a bare dedi, and generally more reliable as the hosts specialize in gaming servers.

I would throw some money in the pot but I don't even have a £1 in the bank.

I'm not sure but by the looks of it they have plug-ins preinstalled so we just have to push a button and we'll have them, that means you don't have to mess about with installing them.
