    I plan my own routes using the default route planner, I get all the frequencies and fly by inputting the frequencies in the NAV1 box and following the needle, takes some practice but is very realistic.

    actually its not realistic at all, id say about 85% of all aircraft now (excluding VFR) use FMCs to fly with, no with GPS or whatever.

    It's actual instrument flying not GPS, it's the way you should do it.
