And i belive most managers agree with you ;0Pay was introduced whilst I was a Manager here, I never accepted it, because I saw my role here as a privilege and just my opinion volunteers don't normally get rewarded for doing something they enjoy doing, the reward should be the buzz you get out of doing a good job
Haven't read the full topic (I'm too time strapped because I'm working so hard as a manager) so forgive me if this has already been stated, but just so you know...
An Assistant Department Manager recieves £1 per month, or £12 per year.
A Department Manager recieves £2 per month, or £24 per year.
An Assistant General Manager recieves £4 a month, or £48 a year.
Now, personally I have never requested or actually been offered any money, and to be perfectly honest I'm not too bothered. I know quite a few managers simply refuse payment. If I were to be offered any money, it would be donated in the form of VIP to my reporters, as they probably work harder than me and get little recognition.
However, I think the payment system should remain in place, because some managers have been at Habbox for quite a few years, and have climbed up the ranks by working very hard (I can't claim to be one of these), so I think they are entitled to claim a little money in return for their services, should they want to.
Former News Manager & loveable rogue
The system we have now you can't really call payments, as it's too little for that. It is more like a bonus. Assistant managers can have 1 pound per month or vip for 1 person, and managers 2 pounds or vip for 2 persons. Since we don't give any free vip for managers, I think this is very little.
And I think it is nice that managers get a little bit back for all their effort, as they are the ones who keep Habbox running.
Nobody in their right mind would spend all the hours of work that managers do each month for just 1 or 2 pounds, so I don't think you have to worry about managers doing it for this.
Besides, I haven't had time to give out the manager payments in many months, so most managers have never received anything anyway.
I think paying managers and above is far more negative that positive.
People who take payment are here for the wrong reasons and I believe when a person is ready to leave Habbox they stay on to long just to keep picking up the few pounds per month and do less work so the department suffers. Maybe a bonus system would be better depending on department performance. I think that most department managers should be seen on habbo alot should be paid in habbo furni or habbo creds to keep the interested in habbo.
Dont worry people they dont get alot and less than a paper round if they only have one job but the more positions held of manager and above the more you get.
I never expected a penny and when offered I refused but would love to know the people who are meant to be voluntary to do a job they love are really here just for the few pounds a month and if it was stopped how many would abandon ship.
I don't visit the forum much anymore.
I think I was assistant manager for HxTV for four months then assistant manager for HxHD for four months last year again and now I'm assistant manager again so i think I'm owed £8... I'd never ask for it though because working at Habbox for me is a fun thing I do in my spare time and I'm sure the money (even though it's very little) can be better used somewhere else

I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.
I still think it should be £1-3 per hour ACTIVELY online. :8
(A damn lot less then any other job!)
i'm out of touch, i'm out of love
i'll pick you up when you're getting down
and out of all these things i've done
i think i love you better now
I personally do not agree with payment. There are alot of people on this forum who would do a hard working job on this forum for free, because they enjoy the forum.
Being payed to work puts you in the mind set of "Oh if I do x ammount of hours work today I will get x ammount of money at the end of the month!"
That is not what I call a volunteer, I call that a money hungry hooligan.
But as the same hard working staff need to be applauded for the job they do, just don't bring $$'s into it.
Thanks, Gork.
i highly doubt the managers think like that, considering they get paid a 1/2/4 quid a month :rolleyes:I personally do not agree with payment. There are alot of people on this forum who would do a hard working job on this forum for free, because they enjoy the forum.
