My taxes stay the same regardless of the fact this little guy had sex? If he wants to ruin his life, let him!

I'm happy to pay tax as long a it's going to a worthy cause.

If they get more benefits out of this they're just gonna have a bigger family.

Also, the media attention is gonna make other idiotic children want to have children.

And also, the girl should have known better - being aged 15 and well, should be slightly matured. Either way, he obviously heard about it from somewhere, and whilst I understand the idea of sex education, it can sometimes put ideas into peoples heads and not prevent the issue from starting. It can be looked at in many ways I suppose, and so you think, well actually, should it be later children are taught about sex education, and not at an earlier age?

I just cannot get my hand around the fact a 15 year old girl would be even slightly aroused by a 13 year old boy with the face of an 8 year old boy. The baby won't have a good life at all. It'll be council house all the way, with constant stares at the ermmm...family? Come on, if you saw these two walking down the street with their newborn, you'd probably think its the boys mother and the boy.

I feel sorry for the family, and it's clearly obvious here that they publicised the event in order to get some extra money. They clearly didn't weigh up the consequences in doing so, as now they'll get dirty looks without a doubt, and their lives will just never be the same.

Someone needs to step in and save that poor baby. The newborn will never have a life of love and joy, and I very much doubt that she'll get to see her father come 6 months time. It'll be the traditional British story of where the father does a runner before the childs 1st birthday.

Meh, social services need to step in immediately. Not support the baby, but look after it completely. The video shows the girl has no clue what to do - I mean fgs she was more or less strangling the baby, slapping it on the back. What good will that do? Then the boy clearly had absolutely no clue. And for a 13-year old, you would expect them to know at least what 'financially' means and what it would involve.

Sorry it turned out to be an essay...I guess I got way too far into it.

Not at all, if someone 16 or over has sex with someone under 16 it's seen as Rape by the law.

Underage Sex is illegal if they're both under 16 but nobody will of ever been prosecuted for it, it's there so the Rape law can be enforced (See above) and because the government don't recommend sex Under 16 for various reasons. It's not really in their interests to arrest people for it either.
Yes we bloody well should. Neither of them can legally have sex either. Does that make a difference??

In no way should we leave them on their own to fend for themselves. As Jordy quite rightfully stated, unemployment is soaring currently due to economic crisis, and so money is not being spent as much as what it used to. Now, where am I going with this? Well, these two now having the press and social services involved inputs money back into the economy, as with the money received from interviewing/helping the family can be spent in shops.

Also, they help to keep unemployment levels low-ish. Without issues like this there would be no need for sex education teachers, social workers etc.

Basically, I'm trying to get across that they should not be left to defend the real world themselves. They've entered it way too early, and I personally deem that they should indeed have this baby taken off them and cared for properly - after all, a newborn deserves the best it can get.

In no way should they have had sex. They were stupid, therefore they can dig themselves out of it.

Which I completely agree with. And now undoubtedly the government will spend yet more thousands of taxed money to help prevent the problem. But will it completely prevent it? No. Not at all, and it will still continue to proceed as the curiosity of what actually happens still remains lurking in the mind.

But, it happened, and that cannot be changed now. Social services are there to pick up on situations like this, and in no way shape or form does the newborn deserve to suffer because of idiotic behaviour. I think you're forgetting that it isn't just these two involved, its also the 2 day year old baby. Without the support from social services what chance will the newborn have?
