Im pretty sure they do put "effort" / time in it, although if you notice most the people who win don't go to school, college, work...

Who ever gets the BETA testing will obviously need to be of help so they'll be looking for people who go on all the time really. As for the 'effort' situation most rooms that people make are down to effort, not who they are.
