The big difference this time is Ronaldo actually wants to go. Gerrard and Kaka didn't want to go to either Chelsea or City. Ronaldo does want to go to Madrid, sure he's a world class player but you have to be realistic.

i think they'll lose their flare and won't win anything next season.

Nani is still a developing player but he's not far off from the starting eleven. Some of the games he's played he's been terrific. When Ronaldo came here 5 years ago he was just like Nani, we all knew that he was good but it took time for him to settle in and to become a player what he is today. I'm sure it's the same with Nani.

The thing what is worrying is we only have a certain amount of players who can really score/create goals. But the players who have been mentioned above all have the capability of doing it.

As i've said before in my previous post, we need a leader, we haven't got once since Keano. Carrick or Rio hasn't been up for the it.

In Rome you could see we never had leader to bring the team together, you see the Barcelona team and you can see they have leaders and that's what we are lacking.
i sure remember we beat you earlier on in the season without gerrard + torres in the start line up and both on the bench.

Also berbaflop spring to mind with spending well?
Do you ever feel like you want to go home?

Kaka's 27, is just about to peak I'd say and Ronaldo is 24 and hasn't yet peaked (God help us when he does). What's your point?

He is the best player in the world and will be for years to come. When he peaks he will be unstoppable. He has won everything with United now and even if we had one 7 this year he would have gone. I don't think he likes to stay somewhere for sentimental value he likes to win thinks. I will always be a massive fan and support him where ever he goes and hope to see him back in the PL one day

He was first spotted by then-Liverpool manager Gérard Houllier at 16, but Liverpool declined to take him on because they decided he was too young and needed some time to develop his skills.[11] However, he came to the attention of Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson in the summer of 2003, when Sporting defeated United 3–1 in the inauguration of the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon. Ronaldo's performance impressed the Manchester United players, who urged Ferguson to sign him.[12]

    How ****e.

If I remember correctly Wenger had a chance to sign him. Also, Queiroz who was Fergie's assistant at the time told him to sign either Ronaldo or Quaresma - good choice lol.

People are quoting the name Ribery everywhere. Does anybody realise how much Ribery will cost. Bayern aren't a team to be pushed by anybody in a transfer. If they demand a fee they'll get it or the player's going nowhere. Expect around £50m if he is to be bought. Personally, I think Man Utd would be better off buying someone like Ashley Young and some striker who can score goals.

To the people saying about Sepp Blatter hating the English bla dee bla. Shut up. We all know he's anti-English but let's face it, Real Madrid are actually a big team. When people go to Man City it's different because Man City aren't a good team in the first place. Real Madrid are actually a decent team, okay maybe not at the moment, but they are a big club and players want to go to them. Maybe for the money but money is less of an issue than it would be going to Man City where it is pretty much 100% money when going to Real Madrid is slighty less as you can say that you have played for Real Madrid if you get me.
