Just because its a nothing game doesnt mean they shouldn't have put their all into it.
    Its simply the wrong attitude.

Completely agree with you, people pay money to watch their team play 110%

Also i feel sorry for West Indies fielding their 3rd team, their in turmoil. I hope they can sort it out and maybe relief the days with Courtney Walsh and Micheal holding.

Indeed, and because England lost and came 2nd, they now have to play the winner of Group A, which is Australia. If you try and win every game, it motivates you more etc.

Like Pakistan today, they knew they were through, but it was such a good game. No one thought Aussies would struggle, but because Pakistan tried, they got close.

I agree with you 100%. It's not the right attitude but that doesn't mean they didn't do it because they did. Sloppy mentality. I don't think the loss is as bad as portrayed though because it really was a poor pitch as was highlighted.

Same with Pro 40 between somerset and durham.

Durham was playing for nothing and coulda given up but they managed to win that game preventing somerset from winning the title.

Its been a good champions trophy, that pitch england played on the other day was to bowler friendly though.

I think it will be a Australia v Pakistan final.
But if Australia are slightly complacent, their performance could be affected a lot.

England's batsmen need to ensure they build partnerships and don't take risks unnecessarily.

As much as I'd love to have full confidence in our team, they just aren't a brilliant unit, as soon as they'd won those first two games they'd suddenly become untouchables again?! You can't judge the tournament on two games!

I still stand by my statement of NZ to win btw

the two things that they could ONLY do was:

    play on that pitch
beat what was in front of them

they did both, against two of the best teams in the world, yet people like you give them no credit and class it as some sort of 'fluke' - well beating SA in SA and Sri Lanka aren't 'flukes'.
