Yeah but it's unpredictable in the open and using it surrounded by blocks so you know exactly how much it'll clear is slower than pickaxes except on obsidian, which always has random explosion effects anyway so again could do anything

I want to colonise the mountains around that city and having TNT will help.

It's all just a matter of trust. TNT really does help for a lot of things, I love to make underground designs and having TNT would help a lot. If a griefer is in the game, all they have to do is set fire to something anyway.

Some of the griefing was caused by Lava
Lava is ALWAYS logged upon creation.

So I am making sure the server stays empty till Dan can send the log file.
If you are on you will fill up the log file and make it take hours to find who did it.
