The E3 2011 Thread

I didn't read any previous posts but I had a blast at the expo today.


First day was so fun.. I played:

-Kinect sports
-duke nukem
-twisted metal
-resistance 3

My eye candy meter was on overload. So many gorgeous woman.

can't wait to go back tomorrow!

Happy about the price of vita, I'll be picking one up at launch, the new Wii thing is kind of confusing, hasn't the PS3 and PSP been able to do pretty much the same thing since the PS3 came out though?

I love E3, it brings out the geek in me. Watched all the 3 major shows even though i don't have a 360 lol. Uncharted 3 looks amazing! Loved the whole titanic vibe that was going on. I was expecting much from the vita because the psp was a waste of my money tbh but the graphics on it are insane. Also, since when did the PS3 get 3D :S? Tbh even thought i love song, they never come up with their own ideas, they copied the ds' touch screen controls for vita and now they copied 3D for their games ( however they have to wear glasses and they are expensive). I currently have no idea of what to make of the Tv bundle, its quite pricey just for 3D stuff.

The wii U is a really stupid name (and I am i dedicated Nintendo fan) and i wish they would move away from the name. It was good back when it was released but now it just sounds really childish. The new controller seems really cool! However there may be problems when playing with it on a small screen tv and that you can only use 1 controller for wii u (and 4 other wii remotes but not other wii u controllers). I also hated that during the show they talked about the controller non stop and had no time to discuss what the console was actually like. They didn't even show it. I bet people walked away thinking it was another handheld. I have seen the console on pics after and it looks really nice and can apprently produce better graphics then the 360 and ps3 which can't be bad. The clip they showed of zelda fighting the spider to show the power of the console was fantastic, they really need to make that into a game. That reminds me, skyward sword looks incredible! I was going to sell my wii but I will hold onto it for this gem!

For the microsoft show, i think it was better presented then the other two, but i hate microsoft. I don't see the whole craze with halo ethir, I played the first on xbox and was not engaged by it at all. They kept banging on about kinnect (have I spelt it right?) which was boardline suicidal because they were mostly for casual gamers.

I hope the points aren't to negative because their are a lot of amazing games comming out for everything that I can't wait to get my paws on!

I think minecraft for xbox will be in no way compareable to PC.
Mods will be hard for it and updates too :\

It wont be as good in a lot of ways, I feel the multiplayer is about all the console version will have over the PC version, there wont be any mods and updates will be slower, not to mention the fact you'd have to buy all the better content.
