Lol. Yeh, Kurt and REM were good friends actually. My dad was/is a very big REM fan. I went to see them in concert a few monthes ago, and my dad was playing their CD on the car on the way over. It came on and he told me that. When we got there, they played that song, and before it, he said he wrote it for "A good friend". If you look at the music video, you could sort of tell.
