Kiki's Delivery Service was on Film4 earlier, although dubbed unfortunately. BBC2 are showing Spirited Away (subbed) on Saturday at 2:00pm. I highly urge anyone who hasn't seen it to watch it. One of the finest animated films ever made, and also the only anime to win the best animated feature Academy Award.

I'm afraid they're not going to continue it.

Well, I hope they do... the manga is still going, and the anime didn't end in a way that it couldn't continue on anyway.

Now you feel my pain. I felt the same when Guyver ended. I've been waiting for a continuation for like three years... I don't really mind now though since I read the manga and its even better. The anime ends on such a sudden and surprising note though. Assuming you're not going to watch it - theres this massive battle and some characters die while other characters get seperated. It skips to three years later or something like that and the antagonists have actually succeeded in taking over the world. The series ends with the good characters reuniting, but the bad guys basically won. Thats not something you see in anime very often.

The ending to d.gray-man is kinda similar really... they end it on the start of something big.

Yeah, Guyver definitely ended at the start of something big. During the massive battle the strongest most badass villain is introduced and he beats the crap out of the three main protagonists in seconds. Then theres the time skip and the anime ends. The ending is satisfying on an emotional level but I can't help but wish there was something more. At least theres an alternative - read the manga! Claymore was in the same situation when it ended.
