Well and truely pathetic that C4 are that desperate for news
Well it's not the main story on C4 tonight, and it doesn't look like there's going to be anything on it.
Agreed, everyone can try and defend Habbo but it was a problem for a long time and only now is being publicised. I find it stupid how people are sticking up for Habbo despite the fact that most of everything C4 reported, was an issue. The moderation was terrible and the whole cyber sex thing was just plain annoying.
Oh dear, he's one of them - I R the cyba polis! One of those 'Let's attack a website because it doesn't agree with me' sort of people. The idiot doesn't understand the word bias and what a report is. They should just ignore him, he's an imbesile. This is a very good read, if anyone's interested. It's by @vito201-
Dear Channel4, ShenkX is launching a SMALL attack on you in hope that you will listen to reason.
The attack is in regards to our disgust in your short-sighted view on cybersex online and targeting Sulake specifically.
It will stop as soon as you admit your mistake in targeting Habbo and/or tell parents that the internet in GENERAL is not a safe place for children.
ShenkX is actually one of the largest Habbo exploitation communities online - you'd think, therefore, we'd be backing you as we've cost Sulake staff a lot of time&money and been responsible for a lot of Habbo's downtime/removal of features in the past - hell, it's even quite safe to say Sulake have struggled moderating cybersex due to our activities!
Most of Sulakes money goes into development, and a lot goes into patching the things communities like mine find - this is how I know Sulake staff are dedicated to keeping their users safe, patching serious exploits within a matter of hours!
But instead, for once, I'm backing Sulake - this is because I realise that your short-sighted view is far more likely to be harmful to children than not.
HabboHotel is honestly one of the safest MMOCC communities online, and also one of the biggest - the staff are very dedicated and all reported incidents are looked into pretty toughly.
Any website of this size cannot be 100% moderated however, especially with the amount of trolls/paedophiles/cyberrapists online today.
As a news site you are meant to display an "bigger" picture and not target individuals. I mean have you guys ever read YouTube comments? Hell, I bet even Channel4 comments get trolled by cyber-rapists?!
I'm in half a mind to troll your site with Child Pornography and tell the BBC about it, see if I can get you ***** shutdown/muted too - cost you a few ten-thousand pounds of advertising/shares/etc.
I will not, but know that it would take minutes for me to set up a bot that would FLOOD your site with THOUSANDS of images of child pornography without even the need of me having to view/download/host a single of the images - due to their being dedicated server databases online with literally millions of Child Pornographic images that I can access remotely and create an automated posting device to randomise the images posted and displayed on chat-inputs on your site.
The internet is FULL of cyber-rapists, cyber-*****s, paedophiles, drug addicts and general sick individuals - targeting Habbo in a sea of filth is like taking a food company to court for an item being unsatisfactory, despite buying it in a supermarket where all other items were LESS satisfactory!
Yes Habbo is targeted at 13+, but some MMOCC/RPGs target a lower audience and they have just as much sexually explicit behaviour - some even have more! And most are less moderated than Habbo is.
Also you claim Habbo is the biggest site of its type - Sulake would like to believe this as well but it isn't actually true - some of the Facebook MMOCCs like "YoVille!" are actually bigger, and Habbo is SMALL in comparison to the top 50 MMORPGs like World Of Warcraft and Runescape - and ALL these sites suffer just as much as Habbo (If not more) in regards to trolling/cybersex and paedophilia/child molestation cases.
And that's not even to mention that YouTube/Facebook/etc are also FULL of MORE paedophiles DIRECTLY tracking children's movements.
The message you need to send out to parents is that "All of the online community is unsafe for your children." if you've forced many parents to block their child from Habbo but not something like 4chan, you've seriously failed in your duty to report dangers.
If parents have just blocked access to Habbo their child will just find another MMOCC/RPG to play on, and like I said, most other MMOCC/RPG chats are LESS regulated than Habbo and thus MORE dangerous - you targeting Habbo has thus probably made children LESS safe which is a gross misconduct on your part.
I joined the online community in around 1998/1999 at the age of eight, I saw and read many, many, MANY things that I shouldn't have at that age... but I do not blame my parents as the internet was bran new at that time and I was a cleaver child that wanted to see the vast majority of things that I did.
But parents cannot claim ignorance any more - they need to step up and explain to their child(ren) the dangers online and properly monitor their child(ren) online movements.
When I was eleven I joined HabboHotel, I was propositioned many times to go on cam/have cybersex/etc, I always said "No." - I mean honestly, what kind of child doesn't know not to send pictures of themselves naked to people online?!
If you suspect your child is that ******ed (My parents KNEW I wasn't), why would you let them online?! That's serious child neglect, I wouldn't let that happen if I was a parent... I mean, Jesus Christ?!
Also, when you try and take a "non-bias" interview from another MMOCC staff member (Rebecca Newton of MoshiMonsters) make sure they're not a pissed off ex-Sulake employee? "Becs", as her Habbo Moderator name was called, was sacked when Habbo outsourced their chat moderation - of course she's gonna be angry and wanting to make Sulake appear weak.
You failed to mention this despite, I expect, knowing it was true(?) and in doing so/not researching properly you lied to your audience.
In short, since you have not done your duties as a news corporation, I will be launching an attack against you until I am heard.
I look forward to hearing a legitimate response from you and I guess this is the only way I have any hope of getting one since all my emails and complaints have been ignored thus far.
I always had respect for Channel4 news, I now have none.
Regards,
- Alex (Shenk).
Taken from Shenkx - A message to C4
Most of that message was stupid - his supermarket example was ridiculously bad![]()

LOL OMG. How sneaky. Jeez, didn't recall them mentioning they replied with "I like yours" on C4 did they.
Edit: Oh ok I misread that, thought it said body lmfao. This is exactly what the convo says:
dirtyboii: hey
C4: What's up?
dirtyboii: nm (not much)
dirtyboii: I like your name
C4: I like yours
dirtyboii: thx
dirtyboii: : o why?
C4: I can't read that, think it says "idk".
dirtyboii: tell me what your body's like
C4: I'm a bit too young for that
dirtyboii: How old are you?
The other dude actually went to check her age :S? Admittedly he should have never said it in the first place, but that 1 sexual line wasn't proceeded by many but instead he genuinely asked her age. If they had replied with "11" , then I'd like to know what would have happened?

In all honesty it doesn't need to. It's all harmless until the discussion turns to more intimate details. If anything it was a natural discussion, if someone says to you that your Habbo name is nice, you say thanks or say their name is good too.
The fact of the matter was the chat turned sour and it was allowed to do so.

The fact that his name was 'Dirtyboii' and she said she liked it, probably lead him on to think she was up to it.In all honesty it doesn't need to.
