    8. Switchfoot: These guys and Jars of Clay make Gospel music sell out.
    7. Three Days Grace: CKY ripoffs!
    6. Trapt: If Papa Roach wasn't bad enough..
    5. Yellowcard: An electric violin in a poser punk band?!
    4. Dashboard Confessional: God, Chris Carrabba needs to reach puberty!
    3. R.E.M.: The most sold out alternative band out there. Oh yeah, Michael Stipe did a record with Chris Carrabba!
    2. Saliva: Every CD sounds different, and every CD sounds like a ripoff to another band. They don't need to try anything new. They just need to give up.
    1. Evanescence: "Posers" is the only word needed to describe this hack talent band that gets their props at Hot Topic.

    Bands that need to die

    5. Creed - Scott Stapp always has a loogie in his throat, and he tries to clear it out in each song, and these guys pretend they're Pearl Jam.
    4. Good Charlotte - One day, N*Sync decided to go to Hot Topic and wear eyeliner and gothic clothing. Then they picked up some cheap instruments at the pawn shop and pretended to play music so they could get rich.
    3. Simple Plan - Do true punk rock bands end up on Disney movie soundtracks and teen magazines?
    2. Linkin Park - I can't believe I was a fan of these Machine Head/Fear Factory/Korn/Deftones ripoff band that the TRL fans think is death metal!
    1. Limp Bizkit - No comment..

    Genres I hate

    - Rap/Hip Hop/R&B: Doesn't matter what you call it- it should cease to exist. Made in the streets. Belongs in the gutter.
    - Emo: Overhyped, overrated, over-played. Emo- shut up! *slaps* It's the cause for the Suicide Hotline being so busy and the whole world coming out of the closet. "Emo is one step below transvestite. :eusa_danc"
    - Country: Ew.
    - Punk: Well, it's dead.
    - Pop: Need I say more?

    I hate One-Hit-Wonders.
Okay you have some fair points, like I must agree country sucks, and so do one hit wonders. There's a few I disagree with. REM. What's wrong with them? I think they have been an amazing band over the years, like a British U2 almost. Everybody Hurts is one of the best songs of all time. Also I disagree with the Linkin Park thing, I think they're very good, and no they're not death metal, they're rap metal.

Rap/R&B/Hip-Hop - You can't really stereotype three whole genres and say they're rubbish, there are some talented singers in that category, for instance Mary J. Blige has an amazing voice.

After all that you have said, it leaves me with this, what music do you like?

R.E.M. are sellouts- plain and simple. >.<
Linkin park was one of my all-time favorite band and I hated it more and more as it become more and more mainstream. I know they're rap-metal, but they're "classified" as death metal. Go figure. o_O

Actually, I can- and I did! ;D Believe it or not, I used to like rap at a time (my rap-phase?) and I found all "neo-rap" to be repetative, non-original, and re-hashed out of old stuff. Some singers have amazing voices, like you said, but what good is that voice if it isn't making good music? The only "hop" I enjoy is Trip-Hop, which is really relaxing. ;p

Well I'm generally into IDM, electronica, cyber, industrial, some alternative/hard metal, happy hardcore, modern-classical, some trip-hop here and there, techno-industrial (Not to be confused with techno, which is kind of poo.), some JPop and JRock, darkwave, some indie, synthpop, futurepop, and even some chanson (Bjork ). I can't really describe the things I listen to besides it being electronica.

I've never heard Linkin Park described as death metal but anyway. I like electonica too, I have a lot more lately, but surely you must agree that some dance type music is quite, same-y sometimes?

I used to use Limewire a lot and whenever I'd do a search for Linkin Park, it would say "death metal, hard metal, goth rock" on the Genres section. XDD

Yes, I agree about some sameness in some songs, and that's when I decide to move on and listen to something else, lol.

So?... People from different bands do stuff with one another. The lead singer of the foo fighters has drummed for dozens of bands, doesnt mean he sold out. Micheal Stipe just likes being with other bands. R.E.M. basicly invented alternative anyway, pretty hard to sell out.

And three days grace sounds nothing like CKY. CKY sounds like everyone else, I dont see your point. Hear CKY's latest CD? It was all about suicide. How original?

Westlife need to be shot. Or blown up. Or what brainiac did with they're cd. Whack them with a bat and watch them shatter to pieces.
