You can't stereotype everyone in a country because of the people running it.

It's by the majority of english people.
and i'm not stereotyping everyone in the country, you know i like some english people :p It's just the majority.

Inventing the borders and name of a country seems pretty much like inventing it to me.

You didn't invent the country.
It was already there, already had people who considered it their home and all that.
And if it was England who decided the borders, which it wasn't, then surely some of those "english" people could have been Scots? if the borders had not yet been decided, then Scots could have had a part in naming the country and deciding it's borders too :]
The borders are where they are, because the Scots would not let the English past a certain place, and decided where the border of Scotland was themselves. Got told it in history :] England just accepted where the Scots considered the border of Scotland, because the Scots attacked them if they went past it

you can't say england 'invented' scotland? what.. did they get JCB's and take mud and gravel and stones from.. other countries and fill in the sea to make scotland?

I already said we didn't build the country itself, but what I mean by us inventing Scotland is that we founded it.

Proof please? The English were in England at the same time as the Scottish being Scotland, but then we were all Picts/Celts/Gaels, and the whole lot of us were barbarians. It was only with the invasion of other countries that England itself grew, and I acknowledge that because I can accept fact We're a country formed of loads of countries, we've been invaded by just about everyone and now we've got the best of everything, hence why our ancestors were able to develop enough to explore everywhere and found new countries. If you want to argue that being in a place first means you made that place, then the Africans invented every country that's ever been inhabited.
