My mum was meant to be in the last band to win Eurovision for Britain. She was late for band practise though and they found someone else. The rest, as they say is history.

Oh and the British people this year went to my brother's school.

A lot of people said PATD. I read an interview with them in Rolling Stone, it put a few things into perspective for me. Apparently they didnt want their first album to be big at all. They wanted to be like Fall Out Boy and tour in a van and grow up for a few years, but stuff piled on. Not to say that their Karma Police cover wasen't aweful though. But I dont understand how they turned out so bad. They love Radiohead and The Smashing Pumpkins, they listen to The Beatles and Tom Waits and The Shins--They're indie kids! How did they come up with their sound? Im trying to figure it out.

i actually like P!ATD, they have a refreshing sound to their songs. not all of them are perfect but a few stand out. but i guess with being on a label who are good at promoting bands, they're gonna get noticed.
