It seems both times I've seen this type of thread people've just ended up listing a load of their names without even taking into consideration what the thread is asking. Go back around page 5 and you'll see what I'm talking about. We really do need to agree on the definition of a 'rare name' before we all start posting them. I think only the infinitive of a verb should be considered 'rare' and nouns in their singular form too. Just because it has 3 letters doesn't make it rare (Unless it actually makes a word), since I'm still able to grab 3 letter names in 2007.

Every name is rare "/ People need to realise that they mean original names that people always think of but can't have. It's like whoever started off the name 'recolour' for a type of rare that has a different number of furniture colours. If it's a recolur, what colour does the originating item of furniture have?

As Tweety has said, if anything makes a name 'rare' then it should be a name you can't have even if it's available.
