Yeah I saw a shiny something last time I played Pokémon (relatively recently) then I did some research and came across Bulbapedia which told me all about shinies. Was amazed![]()
so what's the difference with these remakes? New catchable pokemon and more places to go?
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wi...ilver_Versions - has all the changes made to it.
It's the same game and location, but brought into the DS era (amazing artwork, etc)
I think the MAIN gameplay change is this:
All 493 Pokémon are capable of following players similar to Pikachu in Yellow. Shininess is also retained. The player can interact with their Pokémon by pressing 'A', and can see how their Pokémon is feeling at the moment. In battle, like Yellow's Pikachu, they are sent out from the side of the screen, rather than from a Poké Ball, unless in certain situations, such as while riding the bicycle or going into a small space with a big Pokémon.

I'm addicted to the pokewalker at the moment haha caught like 30 pokemon on it which is great 'cos can trade 'em all to platinum for my good pokemon![]()
Every few steps you take, you get points called watts.
Havin' a certain amount of watts unlocks different areas.
In the different areas you can catch different pokemon.
You don't need pokeballs to watch pokemon on your pokewalker but you need to use 10 watts.
you can use 3 watts for an item that is random.
1/32 chance that your pokemon will be shiny when you capture it on the pokewalker.
you can catch 3rd gen starters in the wild on the pokewalker on a certain route but it is a 1/100 chance of them apearin
every step =1xp for the pokemon you bring with you on the pokewalker.
I think that just about sums it up![]()
