Well, I get a little bit of money, but nothing substantial. I generally save money I do get, for example from birthdays, for future use. I do do freelancing though, but I wouldn't count that as a job.

At the time of the election appointment I was disappointed, sure. But now, I'm willing to give Cameron a chance.

OR maybe, your wrong and you can't get completely free bus passes? You can get half price passes, that's about all connections will give you, otherwise we'd all have free ones.

For you not to get EMA your parents obviously earn too much money for you to qualify.
How do you get by though during the week, you can't save everything and you need a decent amount for a week?

Your obviously a stuck up snob from a wealthy family background or something and jumping on the Torie bandwagon, go get some scones with Mr Cameron.

Or maybe he doesnt expect to get everything free in life and from the state as you obviously do with that sense of self-entitlement.
Before you go accusing Conservatives of being upper class/snobbish, take a look at the Labour frontbench.

Ok, I'm wrong. You know this person better than me, she totally doesn't have a free bus pass and full EMA. I apologize.

Or possibly, you're too stupid to realise that it's controlled by the local authority. The Cambridgeshire local authority is Conservative, and they provide free bus passes for people under a certain income threshold. If you want to have an argument, please phone them up and tell them they're wrong. I can get the number for you, if you want?

I get £20 a month from my parents, and whatever money I have in my account from savings. I think it's more to do with me appreciating the value of money, making the little amount I have personally go far. I personally think that the attitude of expectancy of free money from the state is poor and will only hurt you in further life. £20-30 a week is a lot, maybe you should have some more respect for it.

My whole family is from a very working class, northern background. My dads family were all miners, my mums worked in factories. We're definitely not rich s****, and I don't appreciate you labelling me as that. I've formed my own political opinions, thank you, I'm not a sheep.

Maybe I suggest you should learn to appreciate the value of money, and stop jumping on the anti-tory bandwagon

My family is above the income threshold for EMA, yet we are pretty skint most of the time, due to several things - some of these are: there are 5 of us living together, my dad works in london and the money needed to travel there and back from Eastbourne comes from his pocket, we have been repeatedly over taxed and trying to get reimbursed is like trying to get blood from a rock.

If you have, say, a single mother earning £25,000 per year with one child, or a couple with 4 kids together earning £31,000. Who gets EMA? The 6 people sharing £31,000 or the 2 people sharing £25,000? Just because someone doesn't qualify for EMA doesn't mean anything - you're a complete idiot if you think so.

Edit: That all being said, whilst I could use EMA, I would rather live off my own back than burden the taxpayer further.
