rosberg killed it. shame about ricciardo, big let down for australia & rbr... but atleast they know they have the pace. 2 cars not starting off the grid though - says something about the new engines... they sound like sewing machines on wheels. quite disappointed honestly. vettel and hamilton DNF'ing was oddly satisfying heh.

I might be in the minority, but I love the new engines. You can hear the crowd, you can hear tyres locking up, the team radio is so much clearer. Very disappointed to see Hamilton retire, but I was half expecting it (Hamilton only ever retires when he's in a good position ), and I put a bet on that Vettel would retire, so that went well for me.

Magnussen looks very impressive, and glad to see that McLaren have already done better than last year (2nd and 3rd compared to last years best of 4th) and Williams seems super as well, god knows how they would have done if Bottas didn't get a penalty and hit the wall, and Massa was hit off.

Mercedes looks way ahead of the rest though. Rosberg won by 20 seconds and he wasn't truly pushing and that was with a safety car. The Ricciardo penalty is a shame for him - it was purely the team's fault, but it's a deserved penalty. All teams were warned before the weekend, then Red Bull got warned during the race to do something and they refused.

Hopefully Malaysia will be better for Hamilton Looking forward to it

I do love the fact you can now hear the drivers a lot clearer when talking to the pit wall and also hearing the crowds is also a bonus. Not a bad start to 2014 season - Hopefully Lewis has some better luck in the races to come.

Vettel ***** me. He had such a sooky weekend it's a disappointment, I didn't see the race I was at the horse races, but from what I heard he wasn't even in trouble with his car just "no power" so he retired? Gah, what a toad.

He did have engine trouble - was ~15 seconds slower a lap.

I was about to link you to the BBC iPlayer then realised you aren't in the UK. You should be able get a copy of it from certain websites if you know what I mean.

Ya. Don't really want to download 3.7GB+ for a race, just the highlights would've been awesome. Damn Aussie internet sucks.

    Enjoy.

Ahh, that's the full race, not highlights. You can use iPlayer if you use an add-on I think.

they wanted to preserve the engine rather than get blown out of the water for no points.
