Someone told me to watch an anime movie called "Grave Of The Fireflies"- Anti-war film. Apparently its a really hard hitting film that makes you cry like a *****.

I saw it on myanimelist, was gonna check it out but kept forgetting.
On the final days of World War II, 14-year-old Seita and his four-year-old sister Setsuko are orphaned after their mother is killed during an air-raid by American forces in Kobe, Japan. After having a falling-out with their aunt, they move into an abandoned bomb shelter. With no surviving relatives and their emergency funds and rations depleted, Seita and Setsuko must struggle to survive their hardships as well as those of their country, which is on the losing end of the war.

Grave of the Fireflies is an early Studio Ghibli film, but it seems overrated to me. Barefoot Gen is supposed to be another fantastic anti-war film. I watched the scene where Hiroshima was bombed by the American's and it was pretty well done.

Thought I'd just post this here - I have http://myanimelist.net/people/632/Quinton_Flynn as an actual friend on Facebook. I'm a fan of his voice acting, he does Reno in FFVII Advent Children, he also does Axel in Kingdom Hearts. Awesome guy.
