Actually Rage Against The Machine broke up in 2000. Recently got back together.Rasmus=finnish rock?
and marilyn manson is good- his new song is just eurgh..
chilli peppers are a very good band but not the greatest :S
Where are you getting this from? 3 years back there used to be marilyn manson/rage against/janes addiction/the stones/acdc and all constantly- proper rock (well marilyn manson is but isn't but alas.)
i thought that was just for one concert? or are they thinking of producing a new album?
I actually did say I wasn't sure whether they were around or not, once again you fail to properly read our arguments properly(RedStratocas also pointed out you have a problem to read properly) and you have just once again done it. White Stripes aren't classic rock, hell they aren't even "carrying on the classic rock genre with a fresh style" cos not only would it not be classic rock because of the date, but if it had a fresh style it wouldn't be classic rock. Thus making this argument "flawed" as you liked to say about mine. I did say I was unsure if the Rolling Stones were still around making music. I didn't say they weren't at any stage or say they were "retired" like you seem to have made up me saying. However, it does show the RS are definately losing it if they aren't receiving enough publicity from their tour because I for one didn't know they were on tour and I know about most artists who tour cos I regularly vist aloud.com so I know who's touring. About originality, you said:I was talking about the white stripes as in carrying on the sort of "classic rock" genre but with a fresh style..
The stones are still touring you know? Just because they don't release a new single every week doesn't mean they've retired
Also where did I ever say Queen Status Quo Led zepp weren't all different from another? Your argument is really flawed :SOriginally Posted by Ezzie.
Music just seems to be bland.. everyone's copying each other kind of, still a few good bands out there, just seems like music needs a kick in the right direction: more original bands etc
Well surely you are calling most "classic rock" bands bland. Because a lot of them copied eachother in the sense of style & genre. Big guitar solos, that whiney singing and the rock lifestyle. So you are saying everyones copying eachother - meaning that they are bland - as you stated. I will enjoy your "argument" back which probably has mis-read about half of it so I then need to re-state it.
Exactly, he just talks so much crap.
yes blud
They're going on a short tour with the Wu Tang Clan. They aren't quite to new album mode quite yet, but I wouldnt be surprised if they did, and I wouldnt be surprised if they didn't
You're not thinking out of the box.. look up stupidity in the dictionaryI actually did say I wasn't sure whether they were around or not, once again you fail to properly read our arguments properly(RedStratocas also pointed out you have a problem to read properly) and you have just once again done it. If you'd had actually read what I said I was saying that the white stripes were in the style of classic rock but with a fresher sound to it, seriously..
Rolling stones aren't currently on tour I don't believe, were a few months back- have to have breaks you see? Thus making this argument "flawed" as you liked to say about mine. I did say I was unsure if the Rolling Stones were still around making music. I didn't say they weren't at any stage or say they were "retired" like you seem to have made up me saying. "big guitar solos"-most had their own style actually, maybe a few were copying each other, but they weren't the "highly acclaimed sorts"
Whiney Singing? Sorry not every singer is like Axl rose- Freddy Mercury? Robert Plant (whiney to some)?
Also, if you're so worried about me getting the wrong end of the stick perhaps you should learn to write properly instead of giving jumbled up meanings
As do you my friend, you also result to petty insults- which is a common trait of someone who's trying to cover up their lack of knowledgeExactly, he just talks so much crap.
Well you could never say they have a lack of material in this day and age :p

finnish rock = rock made by finnish people? yes, i do believe that the rasmus would fit that demographic. shock horror!
unless you mean the finnish pagan metal scene of bands like sonata arctica and korpiklaani - bands who have taken the traditional finnish folk sound and shoved in some heavy metal for good measure. i love korpiklaani.
greenday and mcr
