Just got a G2 (HTC Hero), my mum got it for me for good academic performance. I don't care much for phones to be honest, but who can say no to the T3 & Stuff Magazine Gadget of the Year and inclusive internet, oh and the Spotify app runs whilst doing other stuff so it beats an iPhone/iTouch. PS HTC Sense is awesome.

So, just because it runs Spoitify in the background, it beats the iPhone? don't make me laugh. Come back when you have 100,000 apps to choose from.

Yes it does, for these reasons:

a) 90% Of the apps on the app store are silly and people remove them or don't use them after the first day

b) Yes, running Spotify in the background is good, can you run Spotify whilst browsing the web on the iPhone? NO!

c) I won't ever need more than the 10,000 apps there are on the android market. It's not quantity, it's quality

d) Android 2.0 will comes with a free Satnav style service built on top of Google Maps

e) Expandable memory

f) It's an open platform, anyone can publish what they want, you can even change core system components

g) Google Android has pointless gun apps too... xoxo

Wow, are they really? cause I've only seen one or two pointless apps, I use all my apps, they're all great.

What good would it be 'running in the background'? it's doing nothing. Also, I don't use Spotify, so I don't know if it does run in the background, ever heard of Push Notifications? (btw, I have iTunes build in instead, do you? oh nooo!!) xoxoxo

Is it just a coincidence that you need 10,000 apps? I'd rather have 100,000 with the same apps and have the choice of which one I would want, thanks. I like my quantity and quality choice over what you get on Android. xoxoxo

As of about 5 hours ago I own a iPhone 3G on o2 contract - £24 a month with ultd internet due to a special deal my mate got me

Still have my LG Viewty though with my o2 simplicity Sim

Spotify plays music, so rather than it taking up screen space I can web browse.

the difference is how easy is it for you to put them on, is the sound quality any good, since i doubt theyve dedicated much into the sound of the music. I bet youll still end up carrying an ipod around with you if you have one. thats the main reason for my purchase of the iphone. It means i wouldnt need to carry around a phone and an ipod.

the difference is how easy is it for you to put them on

It's not different, it's drag and drop the files, like it should be. And, there's other options because it's a trully open platform (Try getting another proper music player onto an iPhone without Jailbreaking)
