It may actually surprise you, but given the current exchange rate there is really only a slight difference between prices in the states and here in the UK now, this is because of how weak the £ has become and how strong the $ has come, and the fact that I was recently in the states and couldn't really pick up any bargains at all, were more or less the same prices as back home. (was only getting $1.50 for the £)

1,199.00 USD = 741.214 GBP

Using XE.com, according to them that's what that should be around about. But Apple sell it for £918.
