I tried to play Neopets when it came out and a friend at school told me about it but our English was nowhere near proficient enough to play coherently. I settled for some site that is now gone where you could play simple flash games. I got the internet quite early so it wasn't very advanced.

Runescape and Habbo. Started both on same day.
remember friends in primary telling me about Habbo being 'super amazing' and Runescape being 'amazingly awesome' and I thought I'd try them. April 2005. ;')

Habbo in 2008. Until then I played flash games on a gaming site called Y8 then I saw an ad for habbo on it.
