Just got back from seeing Ponyo, which by the way was amazing. I'm talking Spirited Away standards. The music was wonderful as well. Gotta love Joe Hisaishi. Also, seeing as how I haven't bought anything in ages I decided to get myself a new manga from Waterstones. I went with S.S. Astro. It's a four-panel manga in the format of Azumanga Daioh, only more mature. Looks preeeetty good.

Just saw Mind Game and wow wow wow wow wow wow what a film! It has some of the most daring, experimental and just plain amazing sequences and ideas ever committed to any medium. No joke. It's worth watching for the climax alone. A mind game indeed - my mind was officially blown. I can't recommend this film more. What an experience.

Theres a good chance that both Summer Wars and Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance are going to be shown at Sci-Fi London's next Anime All-Nighter. **** yes! I am so hyped! I just hope they show Evangelion first so I will be able to give it my full attention without being knackered.

I was talking to some people who had seen Evangelion 2.0 at the Glasgow Film Festival the other day and they were explaining the experience. Saying how everyone was gripping their armrests during the climax and how everyone started cheering, applauding and stamping their feet when the film finished. Must have been one hell of an experience. I doubt it'll be the same at Sci-Fi London, since the film isn't being shown alone, but as part of an all-nighter event so the majority of the people there are tired, but I can hope!

I must see Evangelion 2.0 on the big screen! The low quality camrip blew my mind, I can't imagine what it would be like in the cinema. I'm not going to drink anything so I won't need to go to the toilet. I'll never forgive myself if I miss even a second. I had to rush out of Evangelion 1.0 as soon as the credits started rolling at the last all-nighter because I was bursting for a piss, so I missed the preview for 2.0 at the end.
