Steve found johhnys blue jean jacket.. saw stain… rust.. more stains on grass.. foreshadows he was hurt

They scared him so much.. they will kill the next person who jumps him no body was ever gonna beat him like that again.. not over his dead body.. he would kill someone

Even if they did have their own troubles I don’t see what socs had to care about

Ponyboy says. Things have got to get better I figured.. they couldn’t get worse.. I was wrong

I learned that he was a good student. He wanted to please his brothers. He was loyal. Liked to look at sunsets He thinks that darry hates him at the start but finds out at the end that darry really does love him.

Johnny – Round, Dynamic
He likes to look at sunsets. He was unloved by his parents. At the start he didn’t want to die he thought that he was too young and hadn’t done enough. At the end it didn’t bother him about dieing, and saving the kids was worth it.

Summary
Ponyboy Curtis and his brothers Soda and Darry belong to a group of poor east side residents called the greasers. They often fight with the rich west side residents called the Socs. Ponyboy is shy and quite and gets good grades. He will fight anyone but doesn’t like to. Darry the father like figure in this family often yells at Ponyboy to do better in school. He wants Ponyboy to go to college and make something of himself unlike Sodapop. Sodapop dropped out of school and now works with Darry roofing houses to support the family.
Ponyboy’s best friend is Johnny. Johnny is even shyer then pony, his parents abuse him, and he is always scared. Johnny was jumped by the Soc’s one evening and beat up terribly. He was jumped by Bob. Dally, Johnny, And Ponyboy go to the movies one night and meet two girls. After the movie Two-Bit, Johnny, and Ponyboy were walking them home when they got jumped by Bob (One of the girls’s boyfriend.) Ponyboy comes in late after talking to Johnny in the lot. Darry hits Ponyboy under anger and Ponyboy and Johnny run to the park. There they get jumped by Bob. They were drowning Pony when Johhny pulls out his switchblade and stabs Bob. They both run away to a church in windrixville. That church caught on fire with four small children in it. Ponyboy and Johnny attempt to rescue them. They rescued them all but a timber fell on Johnny’s back and hurt Dally. After Johnny killed Bob the Soc’s And greasers were at all out war. That next night the greasers and the socs went at it. The greasers won the fight. They go to tell Johnny and Johhny dies. Dally is upset and goes and robs a convenience store. He then gets killed after pulling a gun on the police. Finally Ponyboy see’s that Darry really does love him.
