for a landing proceedure it would be "(callsign) route towards the diamond hanger report overhead"

then once they report overhead

"(callsign) report aiming point foxtrot in sight"

then once reported..

"(callsign) cleared to cross runway 23/05 for aiming point F, report hovering"

once reported..

"(callsign )cleared to land surface winds xxx/xx"

On VATSIM you can either do that or you can use the above mentioned one as you are not trained about helis.

Helicopter(s) can taxi, a lot of helicopters can taxi actually.

Wouldn't it be;

'Taxi hover to General Aviation parking VIA foxtrot, not above 500' report engine shut down'

Or something along the likes?

I'll keep a listen out next time I fly in real, Humberside has a lot of helicopter traffic.

Last time I flew the police helicopter returned and I'm sure ATC just said "Callsign cleared to land helipad 3, winds, caution PA28 just lining up runway 21"

Then advised me of potential rotary downwash.
