A rant about teens these days and my life and stuff...

ironically, weed only leads to harder drugs because kids have to go see dodgy dealers to buy it. dodgy dealers who are always trying to make a bigger profit. who aren't particuarly nice people. who try to push harder drugs onto kids just to make more money. so i mean, it's the prohibition of weed that's caused the gateway drug problem, and the legalization would be the only way to stop that from happening.

In my experience Drug Dealers tended to be on different scales. Myself and my friends went to dealers who pretty much solely dealt Cannabis and were more than happy with our 'trade' and never tried to push any other type of drug on us. If we wanted harder drugs, there were links through the dealers we used regularly but there was no pressure.
The idea that it leads to harder drugs is a stupid one, it comes down to the individual. I've smoked Cannabis regularly (stopped now, there is a zero-tolerance approach to drug use in the army) and only ever once moved to another drug (I dabbled in cocaine for one night, I did no more than a small line's worth). If you don't want to move to harder drugs, you don't. Cannabis is in no way a gateway a harder drugs unless you allow yourself to get pulled into it. I had plenty of fun smoking the good ol' herb and nothing else!

I smoked for a few months, but only like one or 2 a day, becaus thy were easily accessable. I've never done drugs. I've been drunk once, a year and a half ago. Never got drunk since. Im still a virgin at the age of 16, 17 in june. Yes i read your entire rant.

I know they are your opinions, but really, teens arnt all as bad as others. Plus many do drugs etc because of home difficulties? or just to avoid becoming the recieving end of bullying n stuff, so to fit in really. So theres many reasons for actions. Usually teenagers have reasons for destroying themselves and their lives.

It depends on your backgounds n friends really. not the person themselves.

Teens today are just....there's no word for it...

I never did half the things teens to these days.

I never smoked until I was 18, I tried to quit recently but I'm back smoking again.
I only tried weed 3 times, and gave up on it because drugs are stupid.
I only drink on special occasions, or when I'm depressed about my past and losing my ex, Krystle, to brain cancer back in '05.

I'm 20 now, but I mean, I'm hearing about teens (aged 13-17) doing drugs, having sex, etc....

It shocks me because when I was those ages, I was concentrating on school......I wasn't a nerd, or a jock or anything really, I was in the middle, I was abit of everything really. I liked sports, video games, some Linkin Park songs, some rave songs, etc. I was a mix of all social cliques, but I was mainly a loner. I stuck to myself to avoid getting into trouble with the police and stuff like that.

This girl, she's a really good friend of mine, she's 15, I think of her as my sister, even though I actually have a sister (who's 17). I care about her alot and she's dating a guy who's 16 and he's done heroin and stuff like that but now he only does weed. She doesn't want to lose me as a friend but she came on MSN and she was talking to me and I can tell something was up.....it turns out she was high. She thought I hated her for getting high....which I don't....I'd never hate her....

I'm just ranting randomly now....Canada's alot different than the UK. Ecstasy is DEFINITELY not as big a problem as it is in the UK.

Also, I should say, I'm still a virgin (I'm a guy, I'm 20). Before you point and laugh, I've been told by many girls I know that me being a virgin isn't a bad thing. It's a good thing because whoever I'm dating knows I don't have an STD and stuff like that. But still....I'm ashamed at the fact that I'm 20 and a virgin.

Your rant is mostly the bad parts of the teens , but its true theres hardly any good bits maybe that theres new consoles with online capabilitys resulting in around 10%< teens more teens staying out of trouble
