I'm assuming you'd only get 1 MOTM award right? I don't think I've won LOADS but more than 1 I imagine but it'd look crap having the same award more than once on the page.

Oh yeah you'd only get it once lol.

I totally agree - I have only asked for the 4year one etc as all the awards on a page would look cluttered.
so are previous MotM being allowed to request the award or not?![]()
I will discuss it with Oli when he comes online. I believe it should be for the reasons cited in this thread and I believe a lot of people agree. I don't want to go taking a decision without discussing it with him first though.

As long as we don't have to issue an award to everyone who has won an event in the past which would be quite tricky to always confirm. Then I don't have an huge issue in giving the Motm award and whatnot to the people have won it in the past.
In my opinion, the award we should be using for older members is the "Dedication" award and of course retrospect is a huge factor in deciding who gets that, as obviously that one would be silly to start with from scratch or we wouldn't have introduced it now, we'd have introduced it next year.
Proving you've won MOTM is no different to proving you've won any competition or event.

Even though it's shown some sort of dedication towards Habbox? A dedication award would be extra work, as it would have to take into seperate factors and would be some what biased :/In my opinion, the award we should be using for older members is the "Dedication" award and of course retrospect is a huge factor in deciding who gets that, as obviously that one would be silly to start with from scratch or we wouldn't have introduced it now, we'd have introduced it next year.

If we started giving out 2 months of VIP for Member of the Month rather than 1, we wouldn't go back and give all the former Members of the Month an extra month of VIP. The award is a prize - hence the name award.
Our General Management would not be biased in issuing dedication awards, I am pretty confident in that.

i agree a dedication award would be biased. who nominates? the managers? the users? what if omeone shows dedication, but the person who nominates dislikes the person? in fact, thats the same for MOTM too.
