    I'm going to make a prediction for most of you Uk people;

    A large part of the country faces flash floods on Sunday night with up to 8cm of rain expected to fall during a blast of stormy weather. Skip related content

    The swathe of southern England, running diagonally from Land's End to the Wash, will also get battered by strong winds, causing widespread travel disruption.

    The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for the area, affecting thousands of holidaymakers.

    "Heavy rainfall overnight may give 20-30mm of rain quite widely and 50-80mm locally. This rain will be accompanied by strong, possibly gale force winds," the forecaster said.

    "The heavy rain could lead to flooding in some areas and cause disruption to outdoor events and transport networks."

    The south west and central southern England are expected to face the brunt of the weather on Sunday night and in the early hours of Monday.

    Winds will peak at 45mph on the south coast near Southampton during that time.
