I tried watching Gintama but I got bored... don't think it's my thing. Watching Cowboy Bebop instead.

The first hard boiled episode was pretty bad, but I found the second one pretty funny. Especially the escalator scene. Also, if episode 81 is the one I'm thinking of then... JUST DO IT! Nike has nothing on Gintama.

And ill wait for dvds lol. prefer them on tv. Death note dvd is annoying me. ever get that crackling sound. its funny the onyl dvds ive ever had problems with are naruto, bleach, death note =/
Bleach got a speedy release? Really? I think Bleach is released well slow. If you perfer them on TV then just buy a new TV that has a usb port. Put the episodes on a memory stick, plug it into the TV and watch away! :8 Also, aren't all of those DVDs Manga Entertainment? I bought The End of Evangelion the other day, which is by them. Hopefully there is no problems with it. They no longer have the license though, I'm hoping ADV get it because I'd gladly buy it again if they released it.

I thought it was pretty boring at first as well, but I continued watching and I'm so glad I did. Best show ever. Period.

Gintama was boring until around episode 30 for me, when you got to see some action it was pure awesome. It's so well animated.

I found the first couple of episodes a little boring, but then it started to get a lot better. Around episode 20 I decided it was awesome and I put it in my top five around episode 35. No one watches Gintama for the action though, what are you on about Paul? The action in Gintama (when there is some) is amazing but nearly every other aspect surpasses the unsurpassable. Gurren Lagann reference for the win! Action is the last thing I have on my mind while watching Gintama.

I watch Gintama for the action, the comedy has it's moments but the action is worth waiting for. Yes, it's that type of action, something the other shounens will never hope to compete with.

I hated the first episode, but after that i liked it and then loved it. It is good but i watch it for both action and comedy, but mainly comedy.

Can anyone find me an anime site with Pokemon Diamond & Pearl series that updates weekly? I dont know if any subbing company even subs it. Yeah I'd like the subs also. I've watched the first 20 episodes and want to watch it for nostalgic stuff. So yeah I think it's on Episode 131 atm

Viz keep releasing like three or four volumes of Naruto at a time, so thats why Naruto is super fast but they haven't done that with Bleach for some reason. Bleach is still pretty average in the release department in my opinion. Claymore is only one single volume behind the Japanese releases, but thats because the manga seemed to be on hiatus for a year which allowed the English releases to catch up. Viz release Gintama every two months instead of three, and they are doing the same for 20th Century Boys so thats rather fast. Although they could do it much faster! 20th Century Boys is finished, why can't they just release all 24 volumes within a year.

Lmao, when I looked at the back of the cover for End of Evangelion yesterday to see what extras there were it said 'Audio Commentary by Amanda Winn Lee (English Language Director and Voice of Rei Ayanami)'. I instantly gave it a look of disgust and said to myself "So directors are also voice actors these days... shows how understaffed they are. No wonder they're always crap." What really pains me though is that companies like ADV who are always passionate about anime and try their best to release series with original Japanese extras are in serious money problems, but companies like Manga Entertainment who honestly don't really seem to care are doing alright for money. It doesn't add up. I talked to the ADV staff at the expo and they are such awesome guys. My friend asked how much the Utawarerumono Boxset was and one of the guys told him the price but then started talking about how amazing the series was in a really informative and friendly way. I've seen and love the series to death and I was just standing there nodding in agreement with him. Also, the boxset was only £25 - for 26 episodes, plus four booklets with interviews of the Japanese staff and a ton of extras. Now thats the kind of prices I like.
