Heeyy I got bored of not being able to chat/rant.
Haha no, I left a company that was leading the way in terms of online safety I have no desire to join a sinking ship! Though like a few others I have been asked to take part in the C4 debate as an ex-staffer, the slightly frustrating news guy has been tweeting me, I wont be making an appearance I wouldn't want to ruin the illusion that I'm not actually a red-headed cross dresser with a taste for hooker-esq clothing.

Bout time really but I'm a bit disappointed in that I'm pretty sure the client will be last. I imagine it'll involve them unlocking one new feature a day for the whole week, and having us take part in the quizzes which have already been found to enable us each to individually use them. Not sure really, but's that kinda what I'm guessing at. It does however mean that if the client is last, hopefully C4 will have started to play down the hype.

To be fair by unlocking the minor features first it gives them more time to test the new moderation for the client and ensure it's safe (or as safe as safe can be on the internet) whilst giving the impression that they're actually doing something about the mute. I'd rather them do it this way than leave it another week just saying 'soon' and giving us next to no news (as has been the case this last week) then unlocking everything at once. At least this way it actually feels like we're making some progress and actually getting somewhere.
