Oh my god episode 160 of Gintama was HILARIOUS! I haven't laughed that much in ages, I was on the verge of pissing myself. I really don't understand how you can prioritize action over comedy when it comes to Gintama. There was no action in episdoe 160, but in my opinion it is one of the best episodes in the series so far.

well i know funimation everyone does something and they always turn out great/

Mike McFarland - ADR Director & ADR Script Writer For One Piece/FMA/Some in DB and Z And also Voices Buggy the clown/Jean Havoc,Envy's true form/Master Roshi, Yajirobe among others

Christopher Sabat - Line Producer~D.Gray Man and been ADR Director and Voice Direction for a few series. And he does lots of voices.

So it depends on the company i think. I also got DBZ movies 12-13 so i now own all the Z films ^^

Well then I have a question. Both Manga Entertainment and Funimation are working together to release Claymore. How will that turn out then?

I just checked out my Gurren Lagann DVD and the dub is so painful to listen to. They don't prenounce Simon how you think they would, they prenounce it see-moan and it just doesn't work well with all the other English dialogue. The dub for the Giga Drill Beaker was sounding really good until Kamina said Giga Drill Break... IT'S BREAKER FOR GOD SAKE NOT BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also Simons voice actor sounds way too mature. Doesn't sound like a kid at all. Yoko's voice is also terrible, but all female American anime voice actors sound the same so thats to be expected. Nia's voice isn't toooooo bad. They tried to get it close to her Japanese voice, but some of her lines just sound so dumb. But atleast they tried! Good effort, but a failure nevertheless.

The subtitles kind of annoy me as well. Even in the Japanese version the subtitles said 'Giga Drill Break' when it's clearly Giga Drill Breaker. Also, on my Disbuster DVD the subtitles said 'Buster Beam Slash' when the move is clearly Buster Beam Slice. Not impressed with Beez' subtitles. They translate the title as Gurren Lagann as well when the first bit of Japanese clearly says Tengen Toppa. Why did they leave out the Tengen Toppa part? That's what makes it epic! WHY!? Why are fansubs so superior to official DVDs? They're official dammit atleast do a good job! Beez is a subsidiary of Bandai as well, and they are a Japanese company. Whhhhhhhhhy!?

Well Funimation have made the Dub and made the subs etc so it should be the exact same as the american dvd. All manga ent will be doing is distrubuting it. Like Revelations is doing with Full Metal Alchemist. And funny are good witht he subs.

They translate about 90% of it and then special words or move names are all kept intact. unless theres a good translation for it. Example would be

One Piece luffy says Gomu Gomu no ???? when he attacks. Now if you were to translate it, would be Rubber Rubber. which sounds a bit silly so Gum Gum sounds better. Robin attacks are all in french. so there kept in french.

HOPEFULLY im right in thinking MANGA are just selling it here.. dont want them fiddiling and changing stuff. But tbh when the claymore set appears in the US ill just buy it from there. Would rather suppourt Funi and not MANGA. Only buying Naruto and Bleach from them now. and im not planning on buying the filler. so its 1 more naruto dvd then it will just be bleach

Those episodes were great. I laughed so much when Hijikata died because his foot touched a sign on the edge of the street. He started with like 3HP didn't he? Hilarious.
