I bet if Goldie hadn't dropped out, we could have possibly had another Wagner event on our hands and to be honest, Simon seemed annoyed about the whole Wagner thing, yet he was brought on by the Judges to the live shows and not the public.

I really think the public would have kept James in. X Factor really had a chance to create a real musician, a real musician. He sounded good, could play instruments, and I bet a lot of people would have bought his stuff.
Syco loved the fact that Wagner did so amazing. Do you have any idea what contestants like Wagner and Goldie do for ratings? They are controversial contestants and therefore provoke nationwide discussion and in some cases, even worldwide discussion. This in turn boosts ratings dramatically, believe me! I don't think I would watch the show if it was a load of singers with no personality and many of my mates agree with me here. We humans love to hate!

But its a signing competition. If Wagner or Goldie won, they wouldn't be happy, because they wouldn't sell music. You have to be able to sing to sell music well bar from Jedward (Don't see why everyone loves them).

But I'm positive Simon was annoyed that people where voting for Wagner and joining an online campaign to make him win.

The truth is X Factor states its about being original, being unique but at the same time talented. Yet the truth is unique acts that can sing often don't stand a chance as they really want a sound that's generic at times, that they can manufacturer. They also keep saying its a signing competition and looks shouldn't matter. Yet some people get through at times just on looks or the opposite - an act I'm sure didn't get through as they said he didn't look like a star.

A lot of people got chucked out before even performing in boot camp because they didn't think they would sell yet a lot of the people left, like Goldie and Kendro, would never sell in a million years. In other words the X Factor hides behind stuff, it says one thing but means another and it is a disgrace to real musicians.

You really need to understand that that isn't how it works! As I've said, shows like this depend on controversy as it provokes discussion and raises the viewing figures. I'm sure at college/work you discuss X Factor? Now, as well as discussing the ones with amazing voices, who else often crops up in conversation? I gurantee you that Goldie and Kitty are two of the most discussed contestants this year. Because they are controversial!! They get the public talking and they get the public watching. Louis knows exactly what he's doing when he puts the not-rights through.

Was she put through for her singing talent? No, she was put through because the judges knew she'd get the public talking and she'd get the viewing figures up. Though as you know she was later let go due to her mental issues. So don't give me all this crap about Simon being annoyed at Wagner because this is proof that he does love the controversial contestants as they do wonders for his show!

X Factor would simply not be anywhere near as popular without the nutjobs! Watching a load of boring people with a voice does not make brilliant television. Don't get me wrong, it makes good television, but it's wacky humour and endless drama from the likes of Goldie, Shirlena, Wagner and Kitty that make it brilliant!

But then to me the auditions are for the stupid ones. I usually only watch the auditions simply due to that, to see the people who think they are brilliant but are really tone death make a fool out of themselves to a big audience, judges and to the nation on TV.

The ones that do get through should get through because they can sing. Yeah I understand its obviously for entertainment purposes, but then like I said I'm sure Simon was annoyed when the online thing to make Wagner happened. While obviously he liked it being talked about I think he wanted to change the show - I think that's why we had the surprise Twist so that the really bad ones would be forced out (although it didn't fully work).

My point is that a lot of people hate the x factor because of this. It doesn't give real musicians a chance. One of my favourite artists, who I've had the pleasure to work with; David Ford, plays multiple instruments live. Using a looping pedal he can play one instrument, and it gets recorded and played back, and he can keep adding stuff. He's really talented, writes, plays his own stuff etc. The X Factor is the complete opposite to me, and doesn't represent real artists.

i hate frankie. i don't get how gary can openly say that he didn't think his voice was good enough, but then put him through anyway. he's a ****** and if he wins i might hang myself.
i'd very much like janet to win because she's irish, extremely cute and has a brilliant voice.

Why are the judges and presenters so surprised that Frankie was in the bottom 2. I'm not being funny but he was the vocal range of a door. I have yet to hear him hit any notes nor have I yet to hear him hold a note for more than a second. Frankie should have never made it past boot camp, never mind judges houses where by getting through lads with much better voices and personalities were sent home. Furthermore, its completely evident that Gary only put him through because he expected him to get all the teenage girl votes. Well its nice to see that smug grin wiped off his face after that comment from last night when asked if he was nervous about the public vote "I have no reason to be worried". Nothing wrong with confidence but that was just plain arrogant and cocky

I don't like Frankie like you said i've not really heard him 'sing' properly during the 2 live shows and he was given 2 rather easy songs during both they shows. He's just as arrogant and cocky as Gary was last night as well, he seems to think that all the girls would vote for him because he's 'nice looking' (I think he's actually rather ugly! ) I would have much rathered if both the group and him went out tonight!=.

The only people who actually like Frankie are the girls who are obsessed with his arse + his looks, because let's face it - he CAN'T sing.
