people say the music genre emo means Emotive Hardcore.
When Emotive, is just another word for Emotional.

Just to clear this up, because some people dont get it:

It doesnt matter if its called "Emotional" or "Emotive Hardcore". It could be called "The greatest music genre ever" and its still the same type of music. It still holds simple plan, good charlette, HH ect. Whichever you call it, it doesnt make the music any different at all

Anyway, im not good with genres, i just know rock from rap ect. I can pick out differences, but there is always someone who gets mad if you say a genre they are but really arent, AS IF IT CHANGES WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE ANYWAY.

Jesus, listen to what you like. Genres are just there for guidence and organization through music, not to label every band. It shouldnt matter what its called, if you like it, you like it. If RHCP was genred as "Happy hippo dancing music", I would still listen to them. It shouldnt make a difference. Who cares what emo means? Who cares what goth is? Its music, listen to it

I hate the kids who get offended if you call the music they listen to emo or something, if it really is. Some people think its some kind of insult. :p

Ahh, to end this madness, everyone has different opinouns, to the person who said "its the same type of music" Well, im sorry but its not, hardcore, isnt emotional. Look it up for yourslef. But i guess thats only in MY opinoun.
