Why is it bad that this decision has reignited my interest in XB1? These policies that were reversed were pretty much the only negative points for me, other than the price. Now that they've overturned them, I just need to save a bit of extra cash and I'm there

Of course, I wouldn't mind it if they did lower the price

What's to say they won't implement (some of) them at a later date? :L

You could also say the same to Sony to be honest. Surely that's a risk you have to take when buying these products.

Sony will not do online DRM as they rely a lot more on markets where internet isn't as developed.

What's to say that Sony/Microsoft won't keep releasing games in the future? What if they make everyone buy a console and just stop releasing games in a year?

What if they double/triple the fees for online play/features?

What if they release the PS5/XB2 next year?

    All what ifs

You say that now but let's say they do within the next 5 years? You take risks in buying these products. They would look like ***** if they did do it. But I doubt they will put the policies back into place for this current generation.

Also if they did actually do it, I'd learn my lesson and not buy any future consoles from them, since they can't keep their word. Would be exactly the same for Sony.

Just like how I won't vote for Lib Dems after they went back on their word of getting rid of tuition fees
