Thread is too long so sorry if its been mentioned before: I like the idea of Hx getting into the new achievements style stuff (welcome to the future!) but its going to end up like all the other awesome features (groups, blogs etc) that we implemented: relegated to a link on the navigation at the top and largely ignored. How is this going to be pushed to make it relevant and to make people take notice of it once the novelty of it being new has worn off?

As long as we issue the awards properly and keep the system maintained, I think this will be different to other systems. Mainly as most awards aren't requestable and will be issued upon winning by myself and Roxy. People will always want new badges - just like they want new badges on Habbo.

It's down to my management in maintaining the system, something which I intend to have a particular focus on and will be working with Roxy to ensure the potential of the awards system is maximised sufficiently.

Sounds good (as long as it's stuck to), personally I'm worried that having them tucked away in a tab on the profile will make them pretty irrelavent. You compare the system to Habbo's but on Habbo the badges are displayed next to your avatar so they're always on display. Maybe we could have something similar to what the escapist has where the latest 5 badges are displayed (quite small) on the postbit? Summit like that, having them hidden away seems a waste imo

When we had a feeedback discussion one thing that was frowned upon by most users was the idea of having it on the post bit, I do admit it wouldn't look too tidy. I think awards are more of a personal thing, you get them for yourself and most people won't care what awards others have, as long as they get the ones they want.
