I just noticed a plot hole (kinda). The Doctor wants to know who River is every time he meets her.. why doesn't he just go back to the library and look at her diary?

It would poo up the line of events. He can never find out who she (Or it even) is until the time is right or they might not even meet which would most likely Really screw up what has happened. Amy would be dead ( River teleported her to safety in flesh and stone.) God knows what would happen in the big bang episode . River would not have exploded the tardis so,complicated stuffs would happen.

I think River does not kill the doctor. She says she kills the best man she ever knew , well the doctor isn't a man,he is a timelord. As for what river is well I have no ideas! Lol

He could've found out who she was at the end of The Big Bang cos he had her diary. I think there's a part of him that quite likes trying to piece the mystery together. That's basically what the Doctor does every episode

I hope they let us know at the beginning of the series, otherwise the whole "Whos is River Song" is going to get boring. We need something new

If they give it all away, like too much, then it will probably ruin the series as there needs to be something that keeps people hooked e.g. the cracks got people wondering what was going on and people watched throughout to find out.

I think if you revealed all of it, it would be too much at the beginning. We simply need hints throughout the series building up to a big finale/reveal

Story arc's we have em every year, I dont think we'll find out who River is in the beginning, more then likely, the midd-season finale.

I don't think we'll ever completely find out who river is, I think it will be just one of those things that stays unanswered. I love them mystery of who she is.

I think we will find out what she is to the doctor but as for what she really is, I don't think we will ever find out.

am i the only one who thinks since matt has stared as the docotr the ideas for the show have gotten worse? i mean he did one ep about an invisable monster :S
