haha at people saying it doesn't mean emotional, it's emotive hardcore.

The word Emo is short for Emotional, so even if it was Emotive Hardcore, IT WOULD BE EMOTIONAL HARDCORE YOU MORONS.

Um, ok, so you have like no right saying what other people think? I could say "she thinks im a loser, right?" and then the girl who i thought she thinks, would say no, im taking the words out of her mouth, well stop doing what your doing to me and the people who THINK it means emotive hardcore. And, not to be mean for my part, but even though its your own opinoun, can you at least be a little nicer? I know alot of people are getting mad over this, but the fact some are being mean, pathetic :\

emo IS a genre of music, yes. but emo is also a label.

Goths = Gothic Metal, other hardcore stuff.
Preps = hip hop, rnb, boy bands, etc.
Gangstas = Rap
Rockers = Rock
Punks = Punk
Skaters = Ska - or - Punk

everyone is entitled to their opinion.. but given you don't seem to know that much on the topic you're so quickly defending, I'd do some research, or get to know some people who listen to (and actually enjoy) emo music.

most people who like emo music like being friends with people who enjoy the same music as them. emo's are usually writers because emo music is so based around lyrics. just as rockers usually play an instrument because most rock is based around the music more than the lyrics. gangsta's usually enjoy rap because they themselves are rappers. punks usually enjoy punk music because it expresses the feelings they have towards certain things. (e.g. erm.. the song title is inappropriate so I'll change it around so you get the drift.. 'fluck' emo by a band called cheap ***)

And kinda last, yeh i DO know people who listen are labled, my sister is one of them, so is her boy friend greg, WHICH i can send you pictures if you want. :\ And i agree with the last paragraph, thats right. Out :S You see his body hanging by the end of the barbed wire
close to the exit, He didnt make it by 4oclock
Its Well Bad, That makes Yew think ALOT
Since I watched It, I havent Cut, Woop woop,

Ok ok, thats great, i'v seen Saw, its a good film, however its not related to the thread atall, so what you going on about it for? Anyway i hope im not being mean, so dont **** at me.please.

And Thrilled, we aren't going to argue, but this thread is in a music forum for a reason, as what i'v been saying.. It's the stereotypes that are built over music genres. People are dressed accordingly to the music they listen to, as they are influenced by it.
