Favourite anime?

I prefer the Studio Ghibli anime, my all time favourite anime movie is Spirited away.

Hayao Miyazaki is a very talented director and I can clearly see why his films are so popular and influential, but they've never really grabbed me as much as the likes of Ghost in the Shell, Tekkonkinkreet, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Sword of the Stranger. I'm a big fan of fantasy, but I think I prefer more mature movies with a twist.

Due to the poor effort by kishi ive now stopped bothering with naruto.. ill continue watching the anime up to the point i feel it started going down hill. latest chapter wasnt any good aswell >.> unless he does something awesome to get me intrested again.

I seriously think One Piece is overrated. I hated the dub and sub.
It just seems so childish even for an anime.

thats fine but the DUB that you would probably be refering to is the 4kids version. i cant be bothered gogin into detail theres lots of videos showing you on youtube. But that replaced weapons with toys, gave them crappy catch phrases, removed arcs, changed scenes, cut. ect lots more. so ic an see why you would think it was childish from that.

Also the sub i'll admit that the 1st lots of eps arent really that good to get you stuck in but like.. 40's when the crew has been assembled thats when it becomes really good. and later on some of the arcs are really well done. Oda is awesome for his storylines and ideas. I would suggest giving the manga a chance. And as for the new dub by funimation i think there doing a good job with it.

You probably shouldn't judge it until you've seen it. I don't like the look of it either, and don't really understand why it's so successful, but it has to be insanely popular for a reason. Theres probably more too it than meets the eye.
