XBL doesn't do that :S But the PS3 requires updates a LOT more frequently which is more annoying than whatever you described. And no, the XBL notifications are tiny in comparison.XBL is more annoying tbh, at least the PS3 one doesn't spam you with useless notifications about unable to connect to messenger and other system stuff and then it doesn't just progress to list all of online friends. Also I personally think the XBL one is larger on any screen?
I haven't had an update on PS3 in a while? And yes, it lists all Online friends and the status of half the system at boot up.
Chippiewill.
Hardly, it first of all confirms you've signed into Xbox Live. It then confirms you've signed into Messenger, and it then lists the number of friends online. That's three alerts in the space of 9 seconds, who gives a ****.
I can't actually believe something so small has cropped into a Xbox 360 vs PS3 debate to be honest, it's not really going to change anyone's mind![]()
Even worse, they are mandatory to play games!
Exactly, and it's not even that bad for me because I have the Messenger thing switched off completely so it doesn't sign-in to that.Hardly, it first of all confirms you've signed into Xbox Live. Also on XBL, you can press the Xbox button as soon as you receive a message/friend request etc to jump straight to it rather than scrolling through various menus. Hate the way the message box is laid out on the PS3 too.
I love how two weeks ago you couldn't decide over what was better between them, now you seem to think xbox is the only decent console in the world? Last time I checked you didn't no what was better.Even worse, they are mandatory to play games!

On another point.. CAN WE GET BACK ON TOPIC. This thread was good before this ps3 vs. xbox trash came in.
As they are on XBL, but on XBL it signs you out until you update the friggen thing.
And to be honest, this debate is pointless, I own both consoles, they both do different things better/worse (although the PS3 is my console of choice).
Gamertag/PSNID is TFerg006 if anyone wants to add me ;D

Nope... I've always said the 360 was better. The only thing I wasn't sure about is if it was better enough to justify selling my PS3.I love how two weeks ago you couldn't decide over what was better between them, now you seem to think xbox is the only decent console in the world?
