To be fair, I have a two year old Inspiron Laptop, with a nVidea 256mb card in it, 2 gb ram, nothing special. It will run fsx, slightly slowly loading the actual programme up as a result of the lower ram and processor, but in game the graphics are relatively good and I have no problems.
I'm not a big player, I think if I was, it wouldn't be appropriate, but to be honest for general use its fine. So your XPS will be more than fine I would imagine.
I'm sure everybody is going to disagree with me on this one, but just my kind of experience with it!
