Because Channel 4 exposed sexual behiavour in the hotel. Muting was Habbo's knee-jerk reaction.

I hope Channel 4 does this again after Sulake's "improvements" and broadcast the results.. I'm sure they're likely to have the same thing happen again by the looks of it.

I sent a call of help or report or what ever it was, suggesting how the problem could be solved. All I got back was an automated message saying "It's all ok the problem has been resolved" or something along those lines :/

Kinda says to me in terms of moderation they still don't have humane moderation or English speaking moderation who actually care :/ especially with the public eye being on them you would think they would have this as a number one priority...

I just rejoined Habbo as of last week James from being a member from July 2001. I think I share the same opinions as yourself. Moderation should be shown and not hidden, this giving parents a knowledge that there is some sort of protection on the website. I do think having bikini's, swimming trunks is abit much but I get the reason why they've done that due to the beach furniture but this just lures the habbo's that do the whole cyber thing to hop into a pixel bed.

In other news, the Habbo Helpers and any other low-key, low-level, useless squads of Habbos never work. The only system that was effective was the Hobba system. Helpers lack any sort of powers to be of any use, especially in cases where Habbos may be discussing anything unsavoury and potentially illegal.

EDIT: Make Omar the CEO, he has this thing called a brain. That debate was quite interesting, he has a good head on his shoulders and it does pick out what is wrong with a site aimed at teens - experimenting with sexuality.

Habbo could probably do something with this, a Q&A session or something - a bit like FRANK, but for sexuality. If done correctly, it could avoid over-sexualising Habbo, in a controlled environment.
