Why did you need bluetails? it's easy, i mean really easy as long as you have the magic level...and he couldn't have helped you while fighting?
The hardest part is charging the staff...

No no no. He gave me lobbys when I was low on HP. Basicly when i was low on HP i ran to the oter ring and he gave me some more lobbys
