Believe me, with all the stuff thats packed into this machine, it makes it look small
Like you said, you have a PS2, but the games that are going to come out for the PSP next year should make the PSP quite independent from other consoles.
You can easily pick one up for £160 pounds now, I think there well worth getting

PS2 games and PSP games are completely different anyway (save for the lazy ports).

If you want something purely for music, get an MP3 player.
