Me and Lauren were still in a cling, lips almost touching.
"Wow... You 2 look happy to see each other!" She said
"Were just great friends!" Said Lauren uneasily, nervously laughing. We broke from our clinch.
"Kaytee don't have your doubts please, your the only one for me." I kissed her on the cheek and we went to be seated, Lauren was left stood there, I saw the tears trickle down her cheeks as she ran into the garden.
"I better see whats wrong. Order for me Kay?"
"The Chicken Salad?"

I ran to the garden and Lauren was on the swings, head drooping.

"I can't believe you brought her! Callum!"
"Yes i know, I had plans too. She just showed up and wanted to have some dinner and I didn't know what to say, I promise I didn't do this to hurt you! I'd never want to hurt you Lauren" Our lips gently bumped together and I noticed Kaytee coming
"I better get back to Kaytee! Come on, you go get yourself sorted in the ladies eh?"

Oh great now what was I too do? I'd just lost my wife! Where was I going to go! I couldn't go home! I saw Lauren in the other direction and I went to see her.

"Thanks... Uhm, Yeah me and Kaytee just broke up"
"Wha? You, You broke up with her so we could be together! Honey I didn't want you to do that! By the looks of her I thought she'd found out about us."
I looked blankly.
"Urgh! I'd be so mad if she'd found out before youd told her, Oh I'm so glad you told!" She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me passionately
"Whats wrong honey, you seem tense" She said holding me closer and kissing me until I could barely breathe.
"Oh nothing... It's just, Kaytee..."
"Everyone has to go through a breakup once. I've still got to tell Pong, Man speaking of which, I better go see him now he sent me a text message, I'll call you later eh?" She kissed me an ran off, she looked so happy, how could I tell her I hadn't told Kaytee. She said herself she would be mad.
A couple of days later I went to apologize to Kaytee. I didn't want her to forgive me, me and Lauren were together now, nothing could tear us apart. I just wanted her to know how sorry I was that she had to find out that way. I knocked and Kaytee didn't answer. I overlooked our lovely thatched roof cottage, When Elizabeth was born this had been her home. Elizabeth now lives with Kaytee. I don't see her anymore Me and Lauren are hoping to have children some day. I walked into the house remembering I still had my key I walked in to find Kaytee and Pong making love on the sofa. I walked out and walked back in again. I couldn't take it in!

"CALLUM... Why are you here?" She said, looking up from the sofa, leaving a stunned Pong.
"I came to apologize. I can see your busy"
"It's a little late for that. I've moved on!" She looked at Pong.
"You and Pong. Are together?"
"Never!" She said sarcastically "But then again, I'll bet you've got people on your sofa all the time. Especially when we were MARRIED."

"What about KAYLYNN. Don't think I didn't know she was there that week I went away. And I don't think she got paid overtime."
"Kaytee please, that was a fling! I promise. It never happened more than once. I was lonely. Kaylynn was there so I asked her if she'd like to stay to watch some movies. And the next thing I knew we were kissing and... you know whats next."
"I didn't WANT TO thankyou very much" Her eyes filled with tears "You lied to me TWICE. You lied to me about Kaylynn. You lied to me about Lauren. Now I'm wondering if you lied to me when you said you loved me."
"No Kaytee never. Look I have to get back home soon. Do you want my apology or not"
"NO. Now leave! Please. I'm going to get dressed"
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU" Yelled Pong when she had gone. "I'D WANTED THAT WOMAN ALL MY LIFE. I WAS ONLY WITH LAUREN TO GET CLOSER TO HER AND YOU TOOK HER FOR GRANTED. I CAME OVER TO TELL HER HOW I FELT AND IT WAS GOING GREAT! YOU SAW! AND THEN YOU COME IN AND YOU SPOILT IT."
"I'm sorry dude."
"Sorry's not good enough! You've just ruined me and Kaytee's only chance of a relationship. She was over you until you come in and ruin her life ONCE MORE. I want to be with Kaytee. I love her OK? So just BACK OFF"
I left with the flowers. To go back home.

I held the flowers and dropped them in a gutter. If only me and Kaytee could be friends again. She could be with Pong I wouldn't care, it's our friendship I care about. I've done a terrible thing and I know it. I sit on the pavement, head in hands, wondering what I could do. I felt some hands on my shoulders.
